Why is it so hot in Tennessee?? Can it be fall already?? Chris got me flowers yesterday at the local florist. I don’t know why I love flowers from a guy. I feel like it’s an old fashioned tradition that I respect and love.
So.. This sweater is amazing because the material is so soft. I thought it looked great with white pants and brown boots for the fall. This sweater is by BB Dakota and I don’t know if you have ever gotten a sweater from this brand of clothing before but I will let you why I love it.
1. The material is soft and not itchy. I have this weird phobia with itchy sweaters. I wear this one out or when I am laying around the house. That’s a win/win for me!
2. It’s such a great price. You can find this brand everywhere from Nordstrom to Revolve. Great pricing usually and great quality.
3. I sized up and got a medium so that I could wear it off the shoulder and so it would fit my huge 26 week pregnant bump. Obviously this sweater would have been longer on me if I didn’t have a basketball under there.
I am headed to the pumpkin patch in this ridiculously hot weather! Don’t forget to shop this exact sweater below for only $24.99! All you have to do is click on the picture and it takes you directly to shop. It is on sale! YAY!
I uploaded this look on snapchat yesterday and I got a lot of questions about it. These jeans are sold out on American Eagle but I uploaded some similar ones below. I thought it would be good do to a look that covers all sizes and shapes. So I linked maternity, plus size, and regular. I also linked everything from the same place. I noticed that a shopper probably wants to re-create an outfit from the same retailer so they can get free shipping and it makes it easier.
Black top– Make sure you size up to recreate the over the shoulder look. Not to mention it’s more comfy. If you buy it big enough you can wear it was black leggings and tennis shoes for a casual look. This black top can be also be styled with black, or even dark red jeans. I seriously wear this top all the time.
Brown Purse– I cannot get enough of this purse and I do know its expensive so I linked a similar one at target. This color purse goes with so much in my closet.
Necklaces– Layering gold necklaces are really in style right now and I love it. I linked a couple sets for only 8 dollars and they are adorable.
I hope y’all enjoyed this post and have a fun weekend with family! Do y’all like how I styled this outfit with different sizes? Let me know.
I hope y’all had a great weekend. I wanted to hop on here and show you some of my favorite dark red dresses for fall. I just love the dark red and black look. I know I have blogged about this hat before but I have literally worn this hat on repeat. I wanted to show y’all a few outfits with it if you were on the fence for buying it. I will be buying a brown one this week. I cannot get enough hats in my closet.
This weekend was fun. I helped to plan my best friend’s wedding shower Saturday. I will be showing y’all some pictures from the party because they are just too fun not to share. Today we hung out with family and I really wanted to hit a pumpkin patch already. I was really sad to hear they are not open until next week. I am totally one of those girls that freaks out early about any holiday season. I hope you have a great Monday!!
I know you are running into Kirklands and burning those pumpkin spice candles. This southern gal is for sure. As y’all know we are on a family budget and I am begging my husband for a fall decor evelope fund. He just doesn’t get it. He said we have enough decor. Why are husbands so complicated sometimes? Mine is always trying to cramp my style. But I love him nonetheless.
Today I am doing some fall cleaning around the house and then having family over for some football appetizers while we watch the UT football game. I created this amazing queso dip recipe (that includes bacon), I thought about putting it on the blog because so many people have been asking me about it. I never really do food on the blog so I don’t know how the traffic would go. Let me know if I should do it. I just want to blog about everything.. is that bad?
This outfit was thrown together last minute. I care barely fit into these amazing disstressed american eagle jeans because of my growing bump. (The hair tie trick is slowly dying) My cream cold shoulder sweater is non maternity and I think I can wear it for a little while too. I will probably just get a ton of big oversized sweaters this fall/winter since I will have a basketball under there and oversized sweaters are super in style (thank goodness). My scarf was knitted by my college roommate 3 years ago, her name is Chelsea Rochelle and she is super creative as myself. When we were younger we use to do crafts together and now she is an amazing photographer. I also ordered some maternity jeans with ripped knees and I can’t wait to blog about those. I had to beg my husband for some jeans and I told him I was in physical pain. That helped get the point across but I am a drama queen. haha
Don’t forget to shop my looks below. All you have to do is click on the picture and it takes you straight to check out. I hope y’all have the best Saturday ever and thanks for checking out my post as always. 🙂
Grayson’s vineyard vines tee shirt here Seersucker shorts here Native Shoes (I am obsessed with these shoes, we have worn them all summer long) here
We had a great day at 12th Ave South. This location is my favorite in the Nashville area. I think part of it is because there is always an awesome wall mural to take a picture with. But the restaurants are really soooo good. My favorite is Bar Taco so far and I haven’t tried them all. The neatest thing about 12th Ave South is the variety. You can have frothy monkey for a coffee, 5 Daughter’s Bakery for dessert, Mafiaoza’s for pizza or Bar Taco for street tacos. It’s really one of the best spots in Nashville so the next time you visit… make plans to go there.
Do you know what is a win/win to me? Dressing cute and being ridiculously comfortable. This outfit fits over my bump so well. It is getting harder and harder to style my bump with non maternity clothes. For this outfit I sized up because of I’m 16 weeks pregnant. If I wasn’t pregnant I would get my normal size like a small. If you do size up it will be even more comfy. So I am wearing a medium in both.
My goal is to style my pregnancy with non maternity clothes as long as I can. I am doing that for 2 reasons; 1. If I buy maternity clothes I will not wear them after I give birth and that bothers me. 2. I want some of my non pregnant readers to be able to wear the same clothes. ASOS does have an amazing maternity selection so when I get bigger I will probably have to purchase some maternity staples, like ripped black jeans.
This outfit is great for a transition into fall. This top would be so cute with some high waisted distressed jeans (blue or black) as well! It is just too hot in Tennessee for jeans right now. But once it gets colder I will def be pulling them out more. My husband really liked this outfit on me so I think its perfect for a date night. 🙂
I know these are just a yellow pair of shoes but they are a huge symbol for me. Over the past year or so I have faced a pretty big fear. I started a blog. I waited too long to take the plunge because I was so afraid to fail.
I am still afraid to fail. I will always be afraid to fail with this blog. I am afraid no one is reading. I am afraid that no one listens. I am afraid my content isn’t really that good. I am afraid I am not dedicating enough time. I am afraid I have spent money that will go down the drain. I am afraid I am not spending enough time with my friends and family. I am afraid I am not trying to be a better employee at work. I am afraid my house is a mess. I am afraid my husband is mad and doesn’t understand. I am afraid Grayson doesn’t have the best mom he could have right now because I am working 40 hours a weeks and blogging the rest. I am afraid I won’t get to catch up on the office. I am afraid I am not eating healthy enough or cooking dinner as much as I should.
There comes a point when you overcome your fears. When you literally decide that you are not afraid to fail. That it’s okay to cry yourself to sleep over your blog. That there really is SOMEONE (even if it’s literally just one person) reading your content. It’s okay that you got fast food for dinner. It’s okay that Grayson is watching his mom strive to be a strong entrepreneur. It’s okay that your husband is doing the chores because he doesn’t want to pay for a cleaning lady.
I went shopping by myself about three weeks ago. I bought this gorgeous blue dress that will make it to the blog soon. I went to the shoe isle and of course I was looking for something white or nude. Then I came across these yellow pointed toe heels. I picked them up at gazed at them for about 2 minutes. When the store clerk asked if I needed any help I said sure I would like a size 7 in these shoes. I was like wait… No. I cannot buy yellow shoes. I am scared they are not going to go with anything. They are not going to go with this dress. I am never going to wear them again. FEAR.
I know it sounds silly but I was afraid to buy Yellow shoes. Fear can get the best of us sometimes. We have such a fear of what people are going think about us? You know when I started to care less about what people thought negatively about me? The day I started a blog. Yellow shoes are my personality that I get to show the world every single day. My one takeaway for you is to face one fear today and do what you always wanted to do.
Thanks for reading and supporting me always,

So the Schwartz Family is planning their beach trip and I wanted to get everything set and ready for the trip. I did some shopping online and these are my absolute favorites for this summer season. Everything in this post I absolutely love.
My romper is from Stella and Dot and I love the detailing. I also love the pom pom around the waist. You can wear it as a cover up or you can wear it out. Every single bathing suit cover up I have is white. I think white looks so good next to tan skin. I received this product complimentary from Stella and Dot. All opinions are 100% my own.
I included a tarte kit that looks awesome because it has a tinted SPF moisturizer for the face. I have been a huge fan of tarte for a long time and I love how their makeup is plant based. It is so important to wear at least 30 SPF every day you are on the beach. I am a huge fan of SPF and I wear it every day because I am afraid of wrinkles and sun damage.
I included a ton of pom pom accessories and I have the black one piece bathing suit from ASOS. It is so adorable on. I can’t wait to show you guys on the beach! I also linked my FAVORITE not your mothers dry shampoo. I love their dry shampoo the best and it is only $5.99. If you don’t have any dry shampoo you can always use a travel size baby powder. The travel size is easier to put in your hair without getting baby powder all over you.
You can dress up a T shirt with a line skirt like this one or you can even do a maxi skirt. In this outfit I pulled some of the blue from the a line skirt and tied it into the blue t shirt. If the sleeves are a little long you can cuff them up just a little bit. It depends on the t-shirt though. This one is made with a great light weight material (which is awesome for summer!) This one comes from a cute christian inspired Esty shop called The Graceful Olive. This beauty and the best inspired t shirt says “Beauty is found within” 1 Peter 33:4. I love the message this t shirt brings. I hope to teach Grayson that clothes and shoes are nice but what really is important is the beauty within us. Click here to shop this t-shirt.
I found my a line skirt’s twin. Click on the picture below and it will take you directly to shop.
Pair your t-shirts with a cute vest.
You cannot beat a pair of skinny jeans and converse. That is my go to fashion staple. I found this super cute vest at Kolhs and I love it. It goes great with almost everything. So you can pair your t-shirts with a cute jean jacket or vest like this one! How cute are these matching shirts though? I am a very blessed momma. He is the most lovey kid on earth. I love matching with Grayson. It’s hard sometimes because he is a boy and I am a girl, but t-shirts like this make it super easy. These t shirts are also from The Graceful Olive
